you may also want to look into Aspartame
    and Rumsfeld

  3. NocheeseSherlock says:

Is actually bigger than this. See is a win win situation for them. Because when people get sick thanks to the corn syrup, where do they go? Hospitals. More money for them.

  4. steweeme says:

…Through-out your wonderful-Video, you constantly used the word …’WHY’? These HUGE-HEALTH-ISSUES, ‘Obesity, ‘Diabetas, ‘Cardio-Vascular Disease, have become ‘EPIDEMIC’ since the 60/70/80′s, you are Right. …But, the ‘WHY’, in-this-case, is a: ‘WHOLE-DIFFERENT-MATTER’! Yes, Pepsie, Coke, Mars Co’s are doing ‘just-what-you-said’, SCREWING-US …’BIG-TIME’! But, my Dear, this is just the ‘SMALL-PROBLEM’!!!

  5. gigicats6 says:

wow, haven’t we been duped! i feel like we’re turning into the ancient romans who were able to be overthrown by their enemies because they gave in to obesity and gluttony and intoxication. for all of us with type 2 diab, it’s good to finally be hearing some reasons for it. what can we do to get this high fructose corn syrup out of our foods, so that future generations of americans will be healthier?

  6. Fiorwestcoast says:

@botchalism I use stevia!! its the best its in my coffee right now…

  7. riomarcos says:

High-fructose corn syrup is garbage, it doesn’t taste as good as sugar and it’s bad for you. Vote with your dollar, buy organic.

  8. ginacoppo says:

I just graduated college in Corpus Christi TX, the now fattest city in the USA About 85% of my patients have diabetes. I tell my patients the dangers of corn sugars and they had no idea. South TX is mainly middle-low to poor class minorites and I have noticed many use Food stamps AKA Lone Star. Every time I go to the grocery I see these people with food stamps buying nothing but white breads, soda (non-diet),and junk. Lonestar should regulate what types of food these people buy, like WIC does.

  9. chose0101 says:

all this being said. we should pay attention to the boost in ethanol production. and investment over the past ten years.

  10. drevvchristine says:

    @gigicats6
Unfortunately nothing immediate seems to be happening. More companies are trying to use corn syrup instead of HFCS however it is not much better. You’re safest buying products that aren’t highly refined or processed. People say health food is more expensive. While this may be the case in the long haul it is cheaper because you won’t be paying for medical bills for health problems later on. Try and stay away from HFCS and hydrogenation.

  11. doll367 says:

    what about farmers market honey?

  12. steer1300 says:

She got the whole thing about corn production wrong about how much it costs to grow corn and what farm subsidies are for. On our farm in the midwest for the 2009 growing yr we made on average $3.78/bu of corn at an average cost of $2.80/bu. This was even with unusually high fertilizer prices which fell to less than half for the 2010 year. Farmers only get subsidies when expenses are greater than the income which hasn’t happened to our area for at least five years thanks mainly to ethanol

  13. cuadrature says:

It’s obvious from many of the comments posted that people are oblivious to what is really happening in America, not just in regards to our food, but the air we breathe and the water we drink. Has anyone heard of Codex Alimantarious? It’s a scary thing what these New World Order elitist are doing to us. Research it here on yt. The bottom line is: The world’s ruling class wants us dead. Just read what is writen on the masonic Georgia Guidestones in Atlanta.

  14. Lordpengin says:

The only difference between HFCS and regular sugar is that HFCS is 55% fructose/45% sucrose and sugar is just sucrose.

You eat fructose and sucrose separately all the time, mixing them doesn’t do shit.

  15. octoberthehottie says:

On the subject of stevia, I would like to know if you could tell me, Rahdia, I am curious about it, and to be honest a little suspicious, because I feel if it is natural, and not processed like even white sugar is, why are we just now hearing about it. Personally I am not shocked that people claim that HFCS is “safe” like sugar because sugar is chemically processed out of it natural state as well. I hear honey is processed out of its nutritional value also, so what is natural, does it exist?

  16. timmyxdl says:

@octoberthehottie Sugar and artificial sweeteners are a multi-million possibly billion dollar industry…They pay money to keep Stevia off the martket. Stevia alone can kill those two industries…

  17. CoachingByBrian says:

@Lordpengin HFCS is fructose and glucose (not sucrose), anywhere from 42% to 90% fructose depending on how it is blended. Sugar is 100% sucrose. After you eat it, sucrose breaks down into fructose and glucose, so they are quite similar. I’m still against HFCS because of the overall effects it has in the body, but you are right that there’s nothing wrong with a little fructose/glucose/sucrose and mixing them is fine too.

  18. Singer221fan says:

RE Honey: I don’t know about store bought, but all the honey producers I know from the farmer’s market I go to, as well as the association I’m a member of, all produce honey like this..
1: use a bee escape to evacuate bees off frames.
2: take frames and cut the wax covering off the cells.
3: put frames into an “extractor” which spins at a high rate.
4: filter honey (to remove any wax scrapings)
    5: pour into containers.
    DONE :)
(BTW stevia is an acquired taste. I still am getting used to it.)

  23. rukukitsune says:

    very informative.

  24. rukukitsune says:

anyone who voted down to this works for the high fructose corn syrup companies.

  25. steer1300 says:

The pesticides that are used in crops are usually species selective meaning they will only kill insects of a certain species. Insects such a corn borer and corn root worm are killed not by pesticides but form trying to eat the plant. Also with the developement of roundup we only have to spray the field once with one chemical and one pass. So inother words we are using less chemicals to grow our corn and less fuel per bushel.
